The WaveSurfer MXs-B and MSO MXs-B oscilloscopes never bog down with long memory, even when displaying FFTs, measurements and serial data decodes. Many oscilloscopes offer long memory but going beyond capturing and displaying the data will cause the instruments to bog down and become unresponsive. Reports can then be printed or emailed directly from the scope The user can add freehand notes with a stylus or as text and convert the complete report to pdf, rtf, or html. LabNotebook enables users to focus on results rather than the process, as it saves all displayed waveforms and the relevant DSO setups with the saved waveform. An all-in-one solution for annotating and sharing information, LabNotebook simplifies results recording and report generation by eliminating the multi-step processes that often involve several pieces of equipment. Now users can efficiently create complete and detailed waveform reports directly in the oscilloscope. This allows the user to accumulate a data set of unusual events that are separated by hours or days, enabling faster debugging. For instance, there is no “ frequency” trigger in any oscilloscope, yet WaveScan allows “frequency” to be quickly “scanned” for. Since the scanning “modes” are not simply copies of the hardware triggers, the utility and capability is much higher. Select from more than 20 search modes (frequency, rise time, runt, duty cycle, etc.), apply a search condition and begin scanning. WaveScan provides the ability to locate unusual events in a single capture (i.e., capture and search), or “scan” for an event in any acquisitions over a long period of time. Sequence mode in combination with the 25 Mpts of memory in WaveSurfer MXs-B enables extremely fast triggering over very long periods of time maintaining a high sample rate throughout ensuring the user always captures the fastest edges or the rarest glitches. In the end all the waveforms are displayed and time stamped for further analysis. Additionally, Sequence Mode can be used to optimize memory usage by only capturing data when data is present, ignoring large spans of dead time between pulses or bursts. This technique enables capturing of very fast pulses in rapid succession with trigger rates of up to 1.25 million waveforms per second. Sequence mode is a versatile acquisition mode that segments the oscilloscope memory and combines up to 10,000 acquisitions in to a single, sequential waveform. Sequence Mode for Fast Triggering and Efficient Memory UsageĬapturing complex signals can require different types of acquisition modes, for very slow signals roll mode is helpful, for very fast signals repetitive sample is effective. The very small instrument footprint makes it easy to work anywhere. WaveSurfer uses a big, bright 10.4 color display to allow room for everything, including time-correlated views of mixed-signal systems and non-time domain analysis. Delivery is five weeks ARO.G display is crucial to understanding circuit behaviors, especially when working with a combination of analog, digital, and serial data signals. list prices range from $7570 through $11,990 for the WaveSurfer MXs scopes, and $11,690 through $19,900 for the WaveRunner MXi instruments.
#Wavesurfer mxs series
All oscilloscopes in the WaveSurfer MXs series come with an advanced math package, including one million-point FFTs. Advanced triggering helps engineers find rare events and glitches, while the built-in HDTV trigger speeds the design of new products.

The WaveSurfer MXs oscilloscopes offer strong fundamentals for lab and bench use at 5 Gsamples/s on each channel with 10-Mpoint/channel memories. Maximum sample rate is 10 Gsamples/s and standard memory is 12.5 Mpoints/channel (interleaving to 25 Mpoints/channel). The WaveRunner MXi oscilloscopes ship standard with a variety of analysis tools and application programs, such as Tracks, Histograms, long memory FFTs, user-defined functions, mixed-signal options, power-device analysis, jitter and timing analysis, and others. This technology also has WaveStream, a fast viewing mode, and LabNotebook, a tool for documentation and report generation.
#Wavesurfer mxs full
The WaveRunner MXi and WaveSurfer MXs scopes come standard with a full set of analysis tools including WaveScan, an advanced search and analysis feature. has added six new models ranging from 200 MHz to 2 GHz to its M-Type oscilloscope line.
