With my plan to multi-class to slayer for some of the abilities, are there any feats I could take that would improve sneak attack?ĭon't multiclass to slayer. Best options are Cornugon Smash and/or a bard with Dirge of Doom. You just need a good way to make the enemy shaken. It's a prerequisite for the much better Shatter Defense. Would the dazzling display feat and later feats be worth it for a character with ok charisma? Intimidating prowess would boost charisma but that would be like 3 to 4 feats if I went that route so I am not sure about it or just look to other offensive oriented skills.ĭazzling Display is not something you should actually use as a damage dealer. They'll trigger too rarely on a weapon like the Greataxe with x3 damage and you're somewhat likely to outright kill an enemy very quickly with a crit from such a weapon, making the debuff useless. not sure, I guess Exhausting? Also don't bother with them if you don't specialize in a weapon that has at least 19-20 crit. A fighter can learn Crtical Mastery to apply two of them and that's the maximum you should learn. As for the various Critical Debuff feats, you can't use all of them at the same time. Improved Critical for your weapon of choice is good, as is critical Focus. On the offensive end, should I aim for all the critical attack feats?ĭefine all of them. It is a bit more usable with the helmet you can buy in chapter 2, but still totally not worth it on a two-handed fighter. If you want to avoid damage, use a reach weapon or have someone cast Enlarge Person on you so you can attack from behind the tank.Īnd regarding that, is combat expertise worth it? I know that it requires 13 INT and I can always respec but is it worth it to have those extra points in INT for combat expertise instead of CON?Ĭombat Expertise is usually a terrible feat unless you want to go pure tank (i.e. A few more points of AC won't don't matter enough to build around it. What are some good defensive feats for fighters? Right now I am only level 4 but am looking to make him a little tankier on challenging difficulty. 4 level dips in to rogue will give you Evasion + Uncanny Dodge and 2d6 sneak attack as well as 2 feats and debilitating injury which can be -2 to enemy attack rolls if you want to tank or -2 to their ac if you wanna hit hard. Reason is 3 level dips for 1d6 sneak attack and studied target doesn't make it worth it. If you want sneak attack go vivisectionist or Thug like ArcaneAgent suggested. Slayer Multiclass is not recommended in my opinion if you are fighter. Its prerequisites for Trip and other combat maneuvers. If you are lawful you can save few feats by dipping in to traditional monk (keep wearing armor since Wis will be low).Ĭombat Expertise is taken usually for other reasons besides its defensive boost.

A lot of feat gone for a two handed fighter though. Since its challenging though and if you don't mind losing some attack bonuses,ĭodge + Improved Unarmed = Crane Style into Wing into Riposte for around 9 ac for -1 AB in the end. Unless you are playing a spellcasting two hander.
#Riposte hand of fate 2 full#
You either have to full AC or no AC and full dps route.

Issue with ''some'' tankiness in this game it doesn't cut it. I also am really liking the strength based two handed fighter so I don't want to change my primary class. Overall I'm not looking to make the character a pure beat stick so "some" tankiness would be good.
